Chateau Puy-Bardens was founded by a Spanish family in the 17th Century, and the Chateau as the one currently stands was build and completed in 1864. The Chateau is located at the Cambes Region, approximately 20 km South East of Bordeaux city centre.
The vineyard occupies a total land space of 22 hectares, including the chateau, winery and workshop. It is a wine-growing AOC and the appellation of origin is slightly higher than Bordeaux & Bor-deaux Supérieur. The soil of the vineyard generally contains gravel clay, and calcareous clay, which is suitable for wine growing. In addition, vintage 2013 has been awarded Gold Medal (Medaille d’OR) for General Agricultural Competition Paris in 2015.
