There’s lots of attractive apple and herbal character in this generous but crisp Kabinett. However, it lacks the complexity for a higher rating.

Echo de Lynch Bages, Pauillac, 2021 (2nd Wine of Chateau Lynch Bages)
Country: France
Region: Bordeaux
Sub-region: Pauillac
Producer: Chateau Lynch Bages
Type of Wine: Red Wine
Tasting Notes:
Lots of Lynch character to this wine, with a full body and blackcurrant, dark-chocolate, tar and lean-pencil character. Full and flavorful. Solid center-palate. Second wine. Nicely put together. 56% merlot and 44% cabernet sauvignon.”
James Suckling (May 2022)
Offering up aromas of minty cassis and blackberries mingled with loamy soil, the 2021 Echo de Lynch-Bages is a medium to full-bodied, lively and charming wine that’s nicely balanced, but not especially deep or penetrating.
William Kelley, Wine Advocate (Apr 2022)
The 2021 Echo de Lynch-Bages has a clean and pure bouquet, blackberry and bilberry fruit, a subtle marine/estuarine influence in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins on the entry, moderate weight and depth, gentle grip with a touch of graphite on the finish. It needs to knit together during barrel maturation, and I have little doubt that it will. 13.1% alcohol. Drink 2025 – 2036

Country: France

Tasting Notes:
The 2020 Chevalier de Lascombes, matured entirely in one-year-old barrels, has a tightly-knit bouquet with cranberry and raspberry fruit and light floral scents. The palate is fresh on the entry with quite firm tannins, a touch of balsamic infusing the red fruit with a hint of bitterness on the finish. So-so. Drinking Window: 2023 – 2030
