The West Side of Châteauneuf-du-Pape: A Cradle of Excellence
Deep within the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the Rhone Valley of France, lies the prestigious Domaine Barville. With roots reaching back to their ancestors, the Barville family, Laurent Brotte nurtures this 15-hectare vineyard, carefully tending to its seven remarkable parcels. Nestled within two of the region’s finest areas, the vineyards of Domaine Barville boast a diverse terroir that imparts a unique character to the wines.
Pradel: Clay and Pebbles Unite
Among the vineyards lies “Pradel,” where clay and pebbles harmonize beneath the vines’ roots. This soil composition lends depth and complexity to the grapes, as the earth’s embrace infuses the wine with remarkable structure and richness.
Beaurenard: Shattered Limestone Unleashes Elegance
In the shadows of the vineyard, “Beaurenard” reveals its secrets. Here, shattered limestone abounds, bestowing finesse and elegance upon the wine. The vines, with an average age of 35 years, bask in the southern sun, reaching an elevation of 100 meters above the mesmerizing Rhône River.
